Well, copy pasting is natural thing, but if anyone publish your content on their blog without attribution, without credit back then we should take some action on that.

How to Find Out Who is Copying Your Blog Content

Find Duplicate Contents Using Google Search:

We have a easiest way to find content scrapers via Google search, All you have to do is, copy a unique sentence or phrase of your article and paste into Google search bar with double quotes. Find Duplicate Contents Using Plagiarism Tools:

In my recent post I've shared some helpful tools to prevent your blog from being copied and detect plagiarism so this is the smart way to find plagiarism, check it out here:

Well, these are the tools to find out who is copying your blog contents and now we will see how to stop plagiarism.

How To Get Your Article Removed From Scraper's Site?

Contact To Blog Owner:

Taking legal action immediately it's not good option, Before you take some legal action on content scraper you should try another way to get your post down from his blog. The first step is try to contact the blog admin/author via contact page and politely request him to take down that post.

If there no contact box, get social media contacts from his blog and send private message to remove your article.

Report Google DMCA:

If you didn't get any response about your message, now it looks like we should  take legal action. Now go to the Google DMCA Page and submit you legal request to remove copied content from Google search.

Read:  How to Report DMCA to Remove Copied Content From Google Search.

Complain To Web Hosting Company:

Find out website details like web hosting company name, domain name etc. and send a complain to the web hosting company of that website using contact page. they will 100% respond your message and they will take action on that immediately.

To find out website details use this resources: whoishostingthis.com, who.is, semrush.com etc.

Report To Google Adsense DMCA:

If that content scraper uses Google adsense or any other advertising network on his site, then you can report to that advertising network to ban advertising on that site permanently.

Conclusion

Well, I hope this tips will help you to fight against plagiarism. If blog owner removed your content from his blog, it’s fine else we must have to take some legal actions.

How to Track Invalid Adsense Clicks Using StatCounter

A lot of things can happen online, some of which are beyond your control. One of these is invalid click activities that are caused by a number of things, but can lead you into one unfortunate situation - getting banned from AdSense for good. Since you need AdSense to keep track of your website's performance, you should do anything possible to protect yourself against invalid clicks.

StatCounter can help you in this mission. This is a web traffic analysis tool that lets you track all clicks and exit links. Through it, you will know where a majority of your invalid clicks are coming from, and the corresponding IPs that you can then block to protect your AdSense account.

Getting started is as easy as signing up and creating an account. You can then create a new project for a website that you want to track. Like most analytics tools, StatCounter is fairly easy to use. Make sure to select a counter or Invisible tracking, and opt to receive reports in a weekly or monthly basis, so that you can keep an eye on invalid AdSense clicks.

After entering the appropriate information, press the "Add Project" button which will take you to the "Choose an installation Guide for your website" page - here click the "Default Installation Guide" link. Now, StatCounter will give you a code along with instructions on how to install this code on your website. After adding the code, press the "Check Installation" button on the right toward the bottom of the page in order to finish the installation process.

Tracking Exit Links

Once you have added StatCounter to your website, your reports will be available within minutes. Now let's see how to track invalid AdSense Clicks using StatCounter.

Click on Stats and click on the menu called "Exit Link Activity". This will show all the links that visitors clicked on to leave your website. Here, you can also find Date, Time, Exit Link Clicked and the page on which the exit link was clicked.

The exit link could be a advertisement or a link to other website. To display only the clicks on the AdSense ads, use the "Exit Link Match" filter to 'google adsense'. This way, you will be able to see how many clicks are there on advertisements and at what time the click was made.

To see even more information about a particular visitor who clicked on the link, click on the magnify icon. This will show you the Search Referral, IP Address of the visitor, Host Name, their Location, how many times they've visited your blog before, Visit Length, Browser, OS, Resolution, ISP, and the pages they viewed including the exit links.

So this is how you can track the invalid AdSense clicks using StatCounter. Although you may have to disable advertisements on your website temporarily to avoid a potentially disastrous situation, such as being click bombed, it is a better alternative than being kicked out of AdSense permanently. Through StatCounter, you will be able to detect invalid clicks or any suspicious activities that will inflate the number of clicks on an ad. Since you can't control an advertiser or publisher's desire to increase their earnings, you should monitor click through rates or the cost per clicks you are making. If there is a sudden increase of clicks but you make zero CPC, it's time to track down on these invalid Adsense clicks and put a stop to them.

4 Ways to Detect Invalid Activity in Google AdSense

Monitoring your website's performance shouldn't be a chore but a necessity. After all, how else will you know how to serve your audience better - and acquire new ones - if you don't know how they get to you, what they do on your site and who they are? Google Analytics is a tool that does all that, but despite its sophistication, your account can be suspended for invalid activity.

This is the one thing that you have to avoid because the process of reinstating your account may take a while. That said, how can you detect invalid activity?

Before answering the question, here are some terms that you need to familiarize yourself with as they will appear throughout the rest of this post:

DEFINITIONS

  • Clicks - number of times a user has clicked on your advertisements
  • CPC - cost per click; what you get whenever a user clicks on your ads
  • Pageviews - refers to the action the user takes of viewing a page with an ad displayed
  • CTR - click through rate; calculated as (clicks / pageviews) x 100 and is given in percentage
  • Estimated Earnings - calculated as (clicks x CPC); the value goes up or gown while the earnings are still in verification process

WAYS TO DETECT INVALID ACTIVITY

1. You have a CTR above 20%. The normal range for CTR is 1% to 11%, but anything above these tells Google that there is something iffy and that may not bode well for you. So, if you notice this, make necessary changes so that you maintain a healthy CTR.

2. You have a lot of clicks but no CPC. As in, your assigned CPC is 0.00. For example, if you get about 50 clicks and don't have a CPC set, that tells Google that something funky is going on and they will not hesitate to take action. Keep in mind that they do take matters like this seriously, and which is why they employ both human and machine checking to analyze clicks and impressions.

3. You're estimated earnings rise then fall suddenly. For example, you get estimated earnings of $1.00 but the next minute this drops to $0.0. Whether it drops to zero or half the original estimated earnings amount after you refreshed the page, you know that something is up.

4. You have many clicks from one country but less pageviews. Google operates on the belief that if a user clicked on an ad, they are interested in what it has to say. So, if the pageviews are really low, that sends a wrong signal to Google and causes them to think that something fishy is happening.

So, make sure to check your AdSense performance regularly so you can spot discrepancies and address them as soon as possible before Google decides to suspend your account.

10 Common SEO Mistakes You Should Stop Making Right Now

seo mistakes

SEO implementation is curious term of blogging and web development. and every serious blogger deeply know about that but some newbie bloggers can't understand some things that they should know.

I’m sure you have all used SEO optimization for better search engine ranking, but what about your common SEO mistakes?

Since Penguin and Panda, it’s very important to avoid those mistakes that we are making constantly. to avoid those common SEO mistakes I've made this article to show you which mistakes you should avoid to get high SERP in search engines.

Before I go more into depth of SEO mistakes, let me tell you I’m not a SEO expert but I would like to share what I have learned from my blogging experiences and mistakes.

10 Common SEO Mistakes To Avoid:

Mistake #1: Keyword Stuffing

Keyword stuffing is just the repetition of the same keywords or key phrases repeated within a page. if you are keyword stuffing, that means you don't care about your SEO.

If your keyword is “marketing strategy” use it less than 3 times for every 100 words. and try to keep your keyword density less than 3% for particular keyword. because if you use it more than this then your content declared as a spam by Google.

Once Google analyze that your content is stuffed with keywords, they will prevent your content from being indexed in search engine.

Mistake #2: Copied Contents

Should you copy contents from another blog? hope you not, because you might be using somebody's copyrights contents.

Search engines are very smart they can find which content is original and which is duplicate with the help of many algorithms. if you are using copied contents on your blog then you will face some legal problems in future. and your blog will getting penalized by Google.

When I started my first blog I did this mistake, but after meeting some successful bloggers I realize that copy paste is always bad. and I should respect hard work of bloggers who spend lot's off time to create great article.

So I just removed all those contents that I copied from other blogs and I pressed refresh button on my blogging journey to do blogging fairly. :)

How to copy paste blog article ?

If you like any article and want to copy some portion of content then you can copy this by giving proper credit to original writer/author. or you can use a rel=canonical to tell search engine that give all credit to the original article.

Mistake #3:  Avoiding Keyword Research

This is a biggest mistake I have ever seen that many bloggers avoids keyword research because of  they don't have time and patience. but there is no short cut to become a successful blogger, you need to do lots of hard work and you need to have patience.

keyword research is the very important term of SEO to get high SERP in search engines. if you are avoiding this, your content value is almost zero even your content is worth reading.

Mistake #4: Over-Optimizing Your Site/blog

Search engine over-optimization is the very big mistake you should stop immediately if you are making. because it causes Google penalty. and once your blog caught in it, it's very hard to get out.

Penguin algorithm hits all the pages that have been over-optimized. and that's the reason we should avoid this mistake.

7 Sign's of Over-Optimization:

  • Keyword Stuffing: in article or at the end of article
  • Non-Relevant Keywords
  • Using too many H1 tags in content
  • keyword density more than 25%
  • Multiple articles describing the same
  • Useless Content's
  • Title doesn't match with content

Also Read: 10 On Page SEO Tips To Optimize Your Blog For Search Engines

Mistake #5: Ignoring H1 (Heading) Tag

One thing that I’ve noticed when I started blogging is that most of bloggers aren’t optimize h1 tags or ignoring it. but keep one thing in your mind that if you want to score your SEO then you should have at least one h1 tag.

Well if you want to write a perfectly optimized blog post then you can't ignore h1(heading) tag.

It is confirmed that search engines focus on h1 tag to determine about your exact topic, so for better search results it's very important to use h1 tag with big font.

Mistake #6: Stuffing Meta Description Tag With Keywords

When it comes to Meta Description for particular post, it's matter? of-course it matters but it's not a high ranking factor. it helps to increase click through rate(CTR). so write good meta description for your readers not for search engines.

One mistake you should avoid about meta description tag is stuffing keyword in that tag. and keyword stuffing is very harmful for us as I mentioned in mistake #1.

    Mistake #7: Writing short/poor content

Every blogger trying to write quality contents in order to get good response from visitors and search engines, but many bloggers writes short/poor quality contents because of they don't have time or they are poor writer.

But if you are serious blogger then it's very important to dedicate lot's off time for your blog to stand out in Blogging world.

You might not know but Google analyze social shares, so it simply proves that if we want to get high rank we should write shareable contents.

To make your content shareable you should write the blog posts that contain 500 words or more than this.

Mistake #8: Incorrect Use Of Robot.txt File

Robots.txt is a command for the search engine robots to explore/ browse pages of our blog. Robots.txt is arguably filter our blog from search engines.

It's very important to setup robot.txt file on your blog but if you used it incorrectly then just little bit mistake can block your whole blog from being indexed from search engines. So add this file without making any mistake

If you want to setup robot.txt file on your blog or know more about it kindly read this tutorial :

    Mistake #9: Link Building Mistakes

Buying Links and Link Exchange are two common link building mistakes might get your website in trouble.

If you are going to buy, sell links or link exchanging for your blog to drive traffic then your chances is high of getting penalized by Google.

Google hates this spam tactic so get rid of it immediately and try to build natural backlinks for your site.

    Conclusion

So, these are the 10 common SEO mistakes happen when optimizing blog. once we are able to know what to avoid and what to implement while optimizing our blog, SEO will be easy for us.
There are many mistakes rolled out in web world but it's enough for the day. If you find this post useful, please help me by sharing this post. I will come up with new article till then, Happy Blogging! :)

Protecting Content From Copy In Blogger

Protecting content from copy in blogger | 101helper blogger

A blog's content is its everything and people visits a blog only for meaningful content. A blog having a unique and meaningful content is more popular than a blog having copied content. But its not easy to create unique content therefore some bloggers copy unique content from other blogs and publish it on their blogs which results in a bad effect on the victims blog. When content of a blog is copied its value decrease as well as its traffic rate also decreases. A few days ago someone copied my seo posts and published it on his blog so I thought to prevent this in future therefore I disabled right/left click in my blog so that nobody could copy my content. But Disabling right/left click on blog is good for those blogs who do not offer their visitors to copy a code(tutorials for blogging) but what about those blogs which offer its visitors to copy a code or text? therefore I used a trick to block click on specific text so now a visitor will be able to copy code of a gadget/widget.
